I had lunch at Victor’s Cafe on 52nd St the other day. The food is very good although I think it’s over priced for what you get.
The Ropa Vieja was served in a fried plantain “bowl” resting in a sweet plantain purée. It came with a side of black beans and rice. Wonderful presentation and flavor.
